How does it work?

ASH Energy work alongside over 70 commercial energy providers, allowing us to search the entire market for the best prices for your commercial energy renewals. We have access to every type of deal, allowing you to make the best choice for your business. We also take care of the entire switching process, so all you need to do is select the deal you want, and leave the rest to us!

Why is Ash Energy free to use?

When we say you don’t pay us a penny, we are telling the truth! All of our price searching and switching services are free to use, we get a commission from the energy provider, so it doesn’t cost you anything.

Can anyone use Ash Energy’s solution?

Currently, we solely work within the Commercial sector, so as long as you are a business owner, we can help you save money!

How do I sign up?

All we require is a copy of your most recent bill, and we can complete a price comparison for you.

What if I can’t find a recent bill?

If you don’t have a recent bill, you can contact your energy provider, and simply as them for your MPAN (Meter Point Administration Number). This is a unique 21 digit number to identify your electricity point. We can gather the information from here.

How much can I save?

That depends on your existing tariff and takes into account your existing prices, tariff type (fixed, variable, etc) and your usage. We can tell you within minutes how much we can save you!

How does Ash Energy calculate savings?

We take into effect the costs on your bill, anticipated yearly spend, and many other factors to calculate what energy you use. We can then search the market to find the best deals.

Do you change my provider once only or is it periodically reviewed?

When you switch, you will enter into a new agreement directly with the energy provider you select. When you have 6 months left on this agreement, we can review costings again for you.

What do I need to do once Ash Energy finds the best deal?

We will send you various options for you to decide which works best for your business. We will then send you a letter of authority for you to sign, to enable us to work with your new provider to switch your agreement to them. Once we have this, you don’t need to do anything, and we will switch your provider upon the expiration of your existing contract.

How quickly can I expect savings?

When we do a price comparison and send you your contract options, you will clearly see how much you will save per year on the pricing matrix.

What happens to outstanding debts or credits on my current account?

This will need to be settled directly with your existing supplier, as we don’t have the authority to deal with your existing supplier.

Do I need to fill out paperwork with a new supplier?

No, when we have your letter of authority allowing us to act on your behalf, we will complete all paperwork.

Do I need to set up a direct debit with my new provider?

No, as with the paperwork, we will set this up for you.

Will my smart meter still work when my supplier changes?

As long as your new provider has the technology for smart meters, you won’t see any changes.

What if there are problems with my new provider?

As we act as an energy broker, once the switch is complete, you will need to contact your new provider directly in the event of any issues.
